A supplier recommends premium ESR H13 for a hot-trim die that has been failing by edge wear, not by cracking. The grade's certificate documents a tighter ASTM E45 inclusion rating and NADCA #207 Grade A carbide segregation. Is this the right grade for the failure mode, and what would you ask the supplier before signing the PO?
